I miss you...(poem)

Immagine
I miss you today More than I usually do I’m not sure why today is so different I just really miss you Your laugh Your thoughts Everything about you Your scent Your touch I miss you so much I’m at a crossroad in my life I need your guidance Your advice I need you to tell me It will be all right I’m uncertain about tomorrow In my heart I feel great sorrow How I wish That I may borrow Just one more day With you...

I Still Miss Her (poem)

Immagine
It seems like only yesterday I sent a Mother’s Day card away. I didn’t think it would be the last, I signed it with love and mailed it fast. Now that she has gone away, It doesn’t feel like Mother’s Day. There are no more chances to send a card, To ship some flowers, to make a call. There’s no more thanking her for all she’s done. No more visits, No more fun. I cannot hug her or kiss her cheek. I cannot even share a laugh. It all too quickly became the past. I took each visit with her for granted. I thought there’d always be more to come. The camera lies still now From her use and mine. All the pictures have been taken, All the memories have been made. All the words have been spoken, All the letters have been mailed. The thing I miss the most of all Has got to be her voice Whether on the telephone or talking face to face. I’d wish for one more conversation either here or at her place. I know I’ll see her again some day, We’ll share the sights of heaven. We’ll talk, we’ll laugh, we’ll h...

Nature (poem)

Immagine
Nature is both perfect and strong, But it never dues anybody wrong! Humans are full of malice and revolt, Due to which they are always at fault! We think we are always right, This leads us to test our might! Our arrogances tekes us to imaginary lets, But the downfall provides us a real insight! Nature is pure and simple, And by nature is never harmful! We humans should stop polluting the nature, To preserve it’s attribute of being merciful! Beautiful faces mask ugly thoughts, Valiant lose battles never fought! Nature is for centuries honest and kind, Distributing bounties wether you seek it or not…

Solitude (poem)

Immagine
An evening spent Recalling life's events Crowded in my skin In Solitude Pinful yet relishing a melody of lament Drifting through my window Gliding in uninvited In solitude Last night I cried out loud For the sake of hearing some sound Though I did not hear any In solitude Gawking at my naked fear Of living a life unseen Yearning to belong In solitude I woke up in the morning Sang a song out loud My voice wavering In Solitude I walked around In my beloved home My skin in flames In solitude Every molecule of air Brushing against me Scorched in vain In solitude It was raining that morn When I came to life My throat stinging In solitude I see no soul I hear no sound I smell no skin In solitude Yet, I feel no cold And life goes on As I bury myself In solitude

A Red Red Rose...(poem)

Immagine
O my Luve's like a red, red rose That's newly sprung in June; O my Luve's like the melodie That's sweetly played in tune. As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry: Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun; I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o' life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only Luve, And fare thee weel awhile! And I will come again, my Luve, Tho' it ware ten thousand mile.

A prayer in time of war (poem)

Immagine
Prayer iA Prayer in Time of War Thou, whose deep ways are in the sea, Whose footsteps are not known, To-night a world that turned from Thee Is waiting at Thy Throne. The towering Babels that we raised Where scoffing sophists brawl, The little Antichrists we praised The night is on them all. The fool hath said . . . The fool hath said. And we, who deemed him wise, We who believed that Thou wast dead, How should we seek Thine eyes? How should we seek to Thee for power Who scorned Thee yesterday? How should we kneel, in this dread hour? Lord, teach us how to pray! Grant us the single heart, once more, That mocks no sacred thing, The Sword of Truth our fathers wore When Thou wast Lord and King. Let darkness unto darkness tell Our deep unspoken prayer, For, while our souls in darkness dwell, We know that Thou.

The power of love...(poem)

Immagine
The power of love, it can make a strong man weak It can make you so proud, or make the mighty seem meek The power of love, it can destroy or it can build It can leave you so empty, or keep you so fulfilled The power of love, a tidal wave that nothing can stop Nothing can stand in it's path, nothing will cause it to drop The power of love, a surge that can be so unbelievable Nothing is ever so amazing, nothing is ever so wonderful The power of love, if you ever feel it then you will always know A feeling unlike any other, a feeling that you will never let go The power of love, I can only hope one day it captures you too A feeling so very special, a feeling for only the lucky few The power of love, if only the whole world knew just how How it can turn your life around, how it can make you say WOW The power of love, if only it was something contagious How it could eliminate hate, how simply outrageous The power of love, so long ago I became a believer I simply ope...

Forever and A Day... (poem)

Immagine
I will love you always, Forever and a day. Nothing in this world Could make me feel this way, You're all my heart can think about, You're all that my words can say That's why I will love you always, Forever and a day.

The Rose Will Grow...(poem)

Immagine
How can we trust love, and be sure it will last? We gave our hearts to others, many times in the past. We shed many tears, and built many fears. Because of the pain we've come to know. But if we are to love again, we have to take the chance. And trust our hearts, our only guide, to find that true Romance. So if we hide the Rose from the light, we'll never see it grow: But if we plant it in the sun, we know the Rose will grow. So tear down the Iron Gate you built so high and open up the door. The love you find may be the kind, that you've been searching for. We know that deep within there is a special part. And we know for love to live, there has to be a spark. And when that spark, grows to a flame. The heart we gave is never the same. The days begin and end with songs. And to that newfound love your heart belongs. You walk on clouds of fluffy white. Knowing and trusting that your heart is right. The rose will glow and love will grow. And make a spectacular sight. For al...

One... (poem)

Immagine
One flower that is always true One heart that beats each beat for you. Together tied by ribbon strong Will hold forever lasting bonds. One wish upon this day for you. One prayer your dreams will all come true. With thanks for all that you have done To make each day a special one. One hope you don't forget the past. One chance to make our love that last. And as we celebrate this day, I only wanted once to say... I Love you.

Missing You... (poem)

Immagine
No words I write can ever say, How much I miss you everyday. As time goes by the loneliness grows, How I miss you...nobody knows. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name, But all I have are memories, And a photo in a frame. No one knows my sorrow, No one sees me weep. But the love I have for you, Is in my heart and mine to keep. I never stopped loving you, I don't think I ever will. Deep inside my heart, You are with me still. Heartaches in this world are many, But mine is worse than any. My heart still aches as I whisper low, "I need you...and miss you so." The things we feel so deeply, Are often the hardest things to say. But I just can't keep quite anymore, So I'll tell you anyway. There is a place in my heart, That no one can feel. I love you...and I always will.

Precious Tears... (poem)

Immagine
No words are enough... to take back the precious tears that your beautiful eyes had shed, the eyes that were once smiling and I... and I made them cry. I'm really sorry for everything I've done or said, It's useless taking back the tears... but returning the smile to your eyes... I'll try with all my soul and tears.

I Miss You... (poem)

Immagine
I miss you in the morning, When all the world is new, I know the day can bring no joy, Because it brings not you. I miss the well-loved voice of you, Your tender smile for me, The charm of you, The joy of your unfailing sympathy, Because the world is full of folks; it's true, But there was only one of you. I miss you in the noontide, The crowded city street, Seems like a desert now, I walk in solitude complete. I miss your hands beside my own, The light touch of your hand, The quick gleam in the eye of you, So sure to understand. I miss you in the evening, When daylight fades away, I miss the sheltering eyes of you, To rest me for the day. I try to think I see you yet, There in the firelight gleams, Weary at last; I sleep, And I still miss you in my dreams.

Story of Us... (poem)

Immagine
Maybe it's a thing called destiny. I can't help but think you were made for me. Two hearts needing love, Brought together by God above. Somewhere along the way, Down that winding road, The pressure of it all took its toll. The forbidden love that we shared Became a burden too great to bear. It  was time, not love or lack thereof, That split me from the one sent from above. Two right hearts, one wrong place. I still patiently wait, For that day when fate comes my way, Reuniting me with my soul's mate.

Rose... (poem)

Immagine
The sun rises east of here in a place where beauty grows. The rays shine down upon the petals of a lovely pink rose. It grows with love and laughter to new heights everyday, this beautiful pink rose so very, very far away.

Sonnet On Approaching Italy (poem)

Immagine
I reached the Alps: the soul within me burned, Italia, my Italia, at thy name: And when from out the mountain's heart I came And saw the land for which my life had yearned, I laughed as one who some great prize had earned: And musing on the marvel of thy fame I watched the day, till marked with wounds of flame The turquoise sky to burnished gold was turned. The pine-trees waved as waves a woman's hair, And in the orchards every twining spray Was breaking into flakes of blossoming foam: But when I knew that far away at Rome In evil bonds a second Peter lay, I wept to see the land so very fair. TURIN.

Nobody knows this little Rose (poem)

Immagine
Nobody knows this little Rose -- It might a pilgrim be Did I not take it from the ways And lift it up to thee. Only a Bee will miss it -- Only a Butterfly, Hastening from far journey -- On its breast to lie -- Only a Bird will wonder -- Only a Breeze will sigh -- Ah Little Rose -- how easy For such as thee to die!
